Dining Deals

Sorry I have not kept this blog up....I am working on it currently. I was figuring out what I really wanted to do with it...I will continue to keep it more current. Recently I added "Current Hot Deals" to the right of your screen with numerous links to sites that I frequently use to find great deals on gift certificates to restaurants in South Florida. These are mostly offers presented on a weekly basis by various local radio stations. Most of which offer a half off gift certificates for restaurants (usually a $100 for $50 or a $50 for $25. A good deal, but it can be time consuming to go to all of the radio stations websites and find the deal page and check out this week's current deal. So I put all of the direct links on my blog page in one easy to use section. Have fun and good eating for now.
In addition please feel free to use http://www.diningandtraveldeals.com/ to access this blog. I find that it is easier to remember. Happy dining.

Need a Short Getaway???

I feel that I need to mention that there are a lot of good travel deals out right now. One of the best values that you can get for your money is in the Cruise Industry right now. I have highlighted below one of the great deals that are out right now and would like to let people know about it so they can take advantage this opportunity. Even though I know we just got through an expensive holiday season, I hope that deals like this one might present the opportunity for some to assist in relieving some of that post-holiday stress. Happy trails…and don’t forget to check back at http://diningandtravelscene.blogspot.com/ for more updates on dining and travel deals as they arise.

Royal Caribbean is offering a special 2 Night Short Bahamas Cruise on the Navigator of the Seas right now and departs on January 22nd from Fort Lauderdale, FL. It sails from Fort Lauderdale to Cococay, Bahamas (a Royal Caribbean private island), and then on back to Fort Lauderdale, FL. State room pricing includes prices starting at the following:

Interior $119.00
Outside $129.00
Balcony $149.00
Deluxe/Suites $279.00

As you can see this is a great deal for a short get away. In addition it is the opportunity to sail on one of Royal Caribbean’s bigger ships, The Navigator of the Seas! This ship usually was utilized for the longer, 5, 6, and 7 night cruises. It is now in Fort Lauderdale and will be having several shorter sailings at extremely competitive prices. I hope that many people take this opportunity to enjoy a short trip on a great ship that is full of wonderful amenities. I recently sailed on this same ship over this past Thanksgiving and have no complaints and can not wait to go back again on this same ship. The ship is easy to navigate and find your way around. This ship has many dining options, a rock climbing wall, a promenade (inside mall) area, and even an ice skating rink.
Check out http://www.rccl.com/ for details on booking the above cruise. At these prices rooms won’t last long.

Blog Introduction

I started this blog with the concept of keeping my friends and family up to date with the latest dining and travel tips that I frequently stumble upon. A lot of times I see a good dining deal or travel special and I mean to tell everyone I know about it but get too busy or just plain forget to tell them. I hope to use this blog to keep people up to date on good specials that I find. Primarily I will be focusing on the South Florida area. I hope that many people will find this blog useful in finding the many deals that are among us in South Florida when it comes to the dining and travel scene. From time to time I may stray from the above format when I feel that there is something important that may benefit my readers...(maybe good shopping specials at retailers...who knows?)
